Sharing my Message
I am feeling a little stuck in my business life at the moment so I decided to re-read ‘Millionaire Mumpreneurs’ by Mel McGee, for a little advice and inspiration – or more so for up kick up the ass: a little something that we all seem to need every now and then.
The first page that I opened up on read as follows:
“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes, the ones who see things differently – they’re not fond of rules. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing that you can’t do is ignore them because they change things…. they push the human race forward and, while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” ‘Think Different’, Apple Inc marketing campaign 1997
This paragraph really allowed me to understand that I am ok. Actually, I am much more than just ok; I am sensational.
Just because I believe that I am different to a majority of the population and sometimes I do feel like a misfit, doesn’t mean that I have to shy away. Actually it means the complete opposite. It means that I must stand up and share my message and my knowledge.
I am one of these people who see things differently and I am here to push the human race forward.
I am here to help change the world and make it a much better place.
My problem at the moment is that I am not serving enough people.
As T. Harv Eker said: ‘If you’re not earning enough, it’s because you are not serving enough people’.
I know that most people in business go through the same phases where they lack confidence and have some sort of hang ups. It’s perfectly normal but I must get over it.
I am NOW committed to serving people and am so passionate about my message that it is time to get out of my own way. I have all the knowledge and information I need. It is time for me to focus my energy on the people that I am going to serve instead of having it tied up with my own ego and sense of self.
So if you would like to get Healthier, Wealthier, Happier and More Successful then watch this space as I start to share my message and knowledge.
Have an awesome day.

Parenting – Being a role model
Good or Bad
Today as I sat on the rocks, at Short Point Merimbula, pondering about life and death I asked myself “what was I really doing with my life?”
You see, last night we got a message from home (Melbourne) that my Uncle Noel had passed away. He was a wonderful kind and gentle man who had been a part of my life for 40 years and he had lived a great life. So, as I sat there I couldn’t help but wonder about where I would be when I was in my eighties (I have no doubt that I will make it to 100).
I know where I want to be and what I want to be doing but what am I actually doing about it NOW?
I have made some big changes in my life over the past few years, some positive and some negative and I have an extremely postive outlook, but I have come to the realisation that I am a bit of a ‘Gunna-might’.
Gunna do this! -Might do that!
Although I have huge dreams and aspirations and totally believe that every will work out fantastic I seem to say a lot of things but never really take action. I get annoyed with my two children (Maddi & Riley) when they do the same thing but today it really struck me that I was their biggest role model. They are learning from me everyday and when I get annoyed with them it’s really myself that I am annoyed with.
I am very good at wasting time and looking busy and also letting fear get in my way. So today I made a promise to myself that I am going to take massive action everyday to ensure that I am extremely successful, a fantastic role model for my children and that I am able to leave a legacy when I die. I have so much knowledge and potential and I am letting self sabotage get in my way.
The Time Is Now
Everyday I now choose to take the necessary action to create the happy, successful life that I desire and to be an awesome role model to my children. I will share my knowledge and expertise with the world and give enormous value.
Are you creating the ideal life that you truly desire or are you too self sabotaging and teaching your children bad habits?
I would love to hear from you.

The One Question That Will Change You Forever
If there were no limitations or consequences what would your perfect average day look like?
Firstly let’s define some of the words in the above question.
Limitations – financial, geographical, health, time, etc. Things we use as excuses for not achieving what we truly desire.
Consequences – stuff that could get you into trouble or impact others.
Average – You could do it everyday and not get sick of it or get hurt or killed.
I know that this question is like a 400 part question, but it is vital to drill down to the simple mundane stuff.
You can never really get anywhere unless you know where you are going. Too many of us are walking around in a trance. Just living each day, worse still – JUST EXISTING!
Think about experience
Where would you live?
What would your house look like? Is it clean and tidy? What does it smell like?
What time would you wake up each day?
What would you do in the morning?
What would you think about? What would you say to yourself? What are your first thoughts?
What would you have for breakfast?
What would you spend the first half of your day doing?
What would you have for lunch?
Who would you eat with?
What would your friends be like?
What conversations would you have? Would there be celebration, fun or laughter?
Now, you have to answer this question as if to say whatever you write down you have to live that day – everyday for the rest of your life.
What would you do for personal fulfillment?
What life purpose would you strive towards?
What would your business be?
What time would you start work?
What would you do at work?
What are your clients like?
What are your relationships like? spouse, family, self?
What do you do with your family for fun?
What do you have for dinner?
What do you talk about?
What do you do at night? Who do you do it with?
What would your thoughts be as you drift off to sleep?
Be as specific as possible
Now, you don’t have to show this to anybody else but sure that you read it everyday. The more detail you put in the more excited it will get you and the more likely you will take action steps to make it happen.
Tomorrow I will share mine, so that in 12 months time I can look back and see how close I got to my dream day.
I would love to hear yours if you are game enough to share.
Make everyday a fantastic day no matter what happens.
Looking forward to helping you live a longer, healthier, happier life.

Following a DREAM
For many years my husband and I have talked about the idea of packing up all our belongings and travelling around Australia with our two children. But, like many people it was just something that we only talked about and dreamt of.
How the Universe Works
In August 2010 we received a letter from our land lord stating that we needed to vacate the property that we were renting. As this is the third time this has happened to us in as many years we decided that the universe was trying to tell us something. It was time to follow our dream.
First we thought that we would travel for 3 months.
Then we decided 6 months would be better.
‘What the heck, it’s a big country and who wants to rush? - Let’s just go for 12 months’.
We had no clue about how we were going to do it, we just knew that we were going to make it happen. We researched websites, we spoke to other people who had done it and we did lots of reading. Thankfully we were able to borrow a caravan from a friend and we already had a 4WD.
We enrolled our children in distant education, packed up our furniture into storage and gave notice at our J.O.B.’s.
So here we are, 3 weeks into our trip (we left from Melbourne) and we have only made it as far as Pambula. We are so excited about our journey and the fabulous things we are going to do and see together as a family.
Making it happen
Did we have thousands of dollars in the bank? – Definately not!
Are we a little scared about how we are going to get by? – Of course!
But we were not going to let fear hold us back.
One of the main commens we get from people is – ‘We’re so jealous. That’s something we’ve always wanted to do, but we just can’t’. My question is can’t or won’t. Because as I tell my children there is no can’t in life. If you want to do something bad enough you will just make it happen.
What are you not doing that you would really like to?
Are you going to say in a few years time ‘I wish I had done that’?
Follow our Journey
I will be posting about our adventures as well as about Health, Fitness, Lifestyle and Wellbeing on this site as we travel.
You can also keep up to date with our trip at www.2kidsandacaravan.com.au where Maddi and Riley will be posting blogs weekly. They will also be writing about different things they did and places from a teenagers point of view at www.throughteenageeyes.com
Tomorrow I will share my goals for 2011 and you can keep up to date with them throughout the year.
I would love for you to share yours also.
Have a fabulous day because that is what you choose.

No More Excuses
How many excuses do you use everyday to keep yourself overweight and unhappy?
How long are you going to let these excuses stop you from living the life you truly desire?
Think about it – over the years how many excuses have you used maybe not to go for a walk, not to go to the gym or not to eat healthy food?
How long have you been living on the excuses side of life? How long have you been disempowering yourself – taking away your own personal power by coming up with all sorts of crappy, lame excuses, all sorts of reasons to why you’ll fail, as to why you can’t even start, as to why you deserve that fat filled, sweet, starchy, sugary, lifeless, nutrition dense piece of food?
The more you excuse yourself from being active, from drinking water, from eating healthy foods, the more you take away your own ability to succeed; you disempower yourself. You undermine the effectiveness of a healthy eating plan and activity plan.
When you do this you are basically letting yourself off the hook from getting healthy.
Is this what you want?
I don’t think so!
It’s time NOW to remove those excuses, to destroy them, to crush them, to stomp on all those excuses.
There is no time for excuses!
NO MORE EXCUSES!!!!!
Take some time to get comfortable and relax and allow this audio to help you let go of all the excuses that have been keeping you overweight and unhealthy.

Throw Away The Scales
| Yes, you heard me, GET RID OF THE DAMN THING!!!!
Did you watch ‘The Biggest Loser’ this week? Poor Dave worked so hard, ate well and put on weight. Can you believe it? Did you see how devastated he was? Have you ever had this happen to you so you have just given up because you did not think that the hard work was worth it? Why we let a number on the scales determine how we feel? I will let you in on a little secret “The scales do lie”. Meaning, there will be times when your body weight goes up, and your body fat goes down. That is just how it is! You will be burning fat and some of you, a lot of it. You will be putting on muscle. You will be decreasing the size of your waist, legs, shoulders, etc…Bottom line; you are burning fat from somewhere on your body. You don’t get to choose where your body you will burn the fat from, but rest assured, if you are following exactly what your slim coach is telling you, working hard on continually moving and training hard, you will burn fat. If you are working out on a regular basis you have more muscle. Does muscle weigh more than fat? Well, not exactly … I mean a kg of muscle weighs a kg AND a kg of fat weighs a kg. So why do you always hear muscle weighs more than fat? Think of it this way – A kg of muscle is denser, firmer and takes up less space. Isn’t that really your goal … to be firmer and take up less space? Why do we get so caught up on a number? Does this sound familiar? “How come the scale isn’t moving? I am smaller, and my pants are looser or I know I am losing fat, but the scale says (‘gasp’!) that I gained weight!!” If you are decreasing size and getting smaller, and know for a fact that you are burning fat, but you are still hung up on what your scale says…please, do yourself a favor, throw away your scales, and do it now. The only time you should see a number on the scales is during your slim appointment. Stop Letting this number rule your life and control how you think about yourself. Be proud of your efforts and know that your body is changing in positive ways. If you want to measure success there are better tools than the scales.
If you are following an exercise and thy eating program, you will put on muscle, you will burn fat, and you will probably retain water. You also will get fitter, stronger and leaner. STOP WORRYING ABOUT THE SCALES!! One more thing, you cannot expect to drop fat every single week. Your body will resist a lot. You have to keep changing things up so it does not get comfortable. Once your body reaches a state of efficiency, you will stop losing. Change it up. |
It is time to change your attitude. You are on a health & fitness journey and are making permanent changes. Why let a number determine your true results?
‘The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results’.

A Three Point Plan for Greater Results
The purpose of this note is to share with you a few ideas that will help ensure that you finish this year with a bang. You see, for most of my life I’ve pursued what I consider to be the organizing principles of lasting change, and in this message I wanted to share two things with you:
1. A three-point plan that you can use immediately to change and improve your life.
2. Offer you a unique opportunity to fast track your results.
More on that later! I do believe that the best things in life are free, and that the best strategies in life are simple. By that I mean, simple to understand, apply, teach and share with others.
The following three strategies are simple, and they are also extremely powerful, however, they require consistent and skillful application in order for your personal strategic plan to become reality. These are the exact same changes that an individual must make in order to create personal change, that a company must make in order to create a lasting competitive advantage, and that a community must make in order to best serve its citizens.
Step One – Raise Your Standards
Any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first thing you must do is to raise your standards. Simply put you MUST expect and demand more from yourself and from those around you. That means having zero tolerance for mediocrity, procrastination, and any behavior that robs you of potential and increased performance.
Step Two – Change Your Limiting Beliefs
If you raise your standards but don’t really believe you can meet them, than you’ve already sabotaged yourself. This is one of the biggest challenges people face when constructing their personal plan. Why? Because you won’t even try; you’ll be lacking that sense of certainty that allows you to tap the deepest capacity that’s within you even as you read these words. Our beliefs are like unquestioned commands, telling us how things are, what’s possible and what’s impossible, what we can and can not do. They shape every action, every thought, and every feeling that we experience. As a result, changing our belief systems is central to making any real and lasting change in our lives.
Step Three - Change Your Strategy
In order to keep your commitment, you need the best strategies for achieving results. One of my core beliefs is that if you set a higher standard, and you can get yourself to believe, then you certainly can figure out the strategies. You simply will find a way. I can tell you with confidence that the absolute best strategy in almost any case is to find a role-model, someone who’s already getting the results you want, and then tap into their knowledge. If you don’t have one, you must find a coach or mentor.

Fat Loss, One Day at a Time
Rome wasn’t built in a day and your fat loss won’t happen that way either. Don’t expect to start eating perfectly and exercising religiously tomorrow. Instead set yourself up for success by implementing at least one supportive habit per week. Make an effort to adopt the premise of “progress, not perfection.” By developing awareness that improvement is measured by your daily progress, you can save yourself a lot of grief and frustration from the beginning. Focusing on small, positive steps in everything you do is a vital component to change. It starts you moving in the right direction and the momentum of your amazing, transforming results will soon follow. With time, commitment and a willingness to continue to take those small steps, failure is not an option.
How to do it: Be mindful of the fact that you didn’t gain it overnight so you’re not going to lose it overnight. A safe and effective fat loss program will yield 1 to 2 pounds of fat loss a week, not 10. As you begin your weight loss journey, aim for 2-3 small improvements each week. Build up to eating more supportively and moving a little more than yesterday. These small changes will add up to big improvements over time.
Beware of supplements and “quick fixes” that promise accelerated fat loss. Instead, plan on losing fat weight slowly. Sure we all want instant results, but it’s impossible to undo a years of inactivity and poor nutrition overnight.
Instead of only looking at the big picture, try to break it down into smaller bites. Set one-month goals, three-month goals, six-month goals and even yearly goals. Carry over each previous goal to make sure that you aren’t stopping one to achieve another. Make sure goals are achievable and realistic and what you truly want. A half-hearted desire will produce half-hearted results.
Remember, life happens and we must face the challenges. Sometimes that means not getting to exercise or eat properly. The difference is we get it. We make it a point to view each situation, each setback as an opportunity to LEARN and ASK, “What could I do differently next time?” Then it becomes a matter of getting back on track as soon as possible. Leave the excuses and blame behind and forget about beating ourselves up – we’re only human. Strive to do a little better today than you did the day before. The key is to stay consistent, focused and take daily action. Make goals meaningful. Our minds cannot differentiate between achieving an enormous goal or a miniscule goal it only perceives success or failure. If you set a goal that is impossible to fail you’ll only be setting yourself up for tremendous victory.
Don’t be too rigid. Telling your self that you HAVE to workout for a set time to feel a sense of completion is ill fated. If you set out to workout for 30 minutes and you only get in 20, you’ll more apt to be disappointed regardless of how hard you worked. If you simply set a goal to go to the gym at least 2-3 days a week and complete your resistance training and cardio you’ll perceive yourself as a winner.
An additional goal idea: Have you ever wanted to participate in a race or sport that you’ve never had the endurance for? Then use that as a goal! When the end justifies the means it’s easier to make it through the rough spots. It’s a win-win situation if you are able to achieve a want and a need simultaneously!
